Excurions to Jewfish Key and Egmont Key!
The Sandbar Express Excursion is a highly rated trip. This trip stops at the world famous Jewfish Key, where you can get out and swim, shell, snorkel, and relax. The water here is crystal clear and bright blue. On this excursion you have the possibility to see dolphins, hermit crabs, sand dollars, starfish, fish, and much more!
- This trip leaves from Bradenton Beach Marina at scheduled times everyday. Times may vary
- What to bring? Sunscreen, a towel, and water shoes. Small coolers for lunch and drinks are allowed.

The Egmont Key Express is one of the most popular trips for swimming, shelling, beach going, and exploring. Egmont Key is a Florida state park which is a barrier island separating Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The island is largely uninhabited except for some park rangers and the Tampa Bay ship’s pilots. While you are on the island you can explore the ruins of Fort Dade. There is also an active lighthouse (still in use today) that was built in the 1850. The south end of the island is a bird sanctuary, but the north end is open to beachgoing , shelling, and swimming.
- The boat departs from Bradenton Beach Marina for a 4 hour trip, giving you two full hours to explore the island.
